Very peaceful and quiet place with nice amenities. The common area might be a little intrusive to the private rooms, but overall this is not a big deal.

So glad we found this place! Michael's place made for a truly memorable trip. Getting there is a bit of an adventure, but really any car would be able to make the trip and it heightened the overall experience. Manny met us at the gate and showed us to our room. The loft was well appointed and very clean, the bed was comfy, and the fridge/freezer is actually bigger than the one showed in photos. The walk down to the private beach is easy and scenic and the beach chairs and umbrella provided were top-notch quality! We weren't there 24hrs before we started scheming another trip where we'd bring friends and rent all four of the units at once! Exellent place, excellent host. Strongly recommend.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Casa del Mar. The atmosphere and the views over the ocean are simply breathtaking. Total silence, total disconnection from the world — we spent our days spotting whales and birds and just admiring the stunning landscape. The room was spotless and very well equipped, with everything needed to cook. The bed was a king size and extremely comfortable, with great quality bedding. The pool, common areas, jacuzzi, and even beach chairs were all fantastic and made the stay even more special. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. There is a restaurant at the Nest hotel about 10 minutes away, and more restaurants in La Fortuna (around 25 minutes). Getting there does require some patience, as the road from Los Cabos is unpaved — but trust us, it is 100% worth the journey. We will definitely come back. A huge thank you to Michael and Manny for the warm welcome. Highly recommended!

We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to come back. Michael and Manny are excellent hosts and this place is a true gem!

This place is truly a retreat for the soul. Secluded but still safe. Views all around even if you were never to leave the Villa. When I saw the listing say “breakfast provided” we assumed it was included for free but it is at a charge, but that didn’t change anything for us. Just a heads up! We could also hear the guests above us, so you may want ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Hope to be back 🤍

The location was lovely and tranquil. Manny and co were supportive and friendly. If you’re looking for a reset, this is the place.

We had the best time at Michael’s place! We had a slight mishap (ours) but Michael was able to help us with his quick response time. We’re so thankful for his accommodations. Highly recommended this property! Quite possibly the most peaceful place I’ve ever been. (Minus the large mountain spiders but that comes with the territory)

El lugar esta hermoso, la alberca y el jacuzzi son de area comun, la playa esta a 5 min caminando, no hay tiendas de conveniencia pero si restaurantitos. Nos recibieron con cervezas y agua en el refrigerador, tienen una hielera para todos de donde puedes tomar hielos. Hay lavanderia ppr si necesitaras y fogata con leña por si quisieras utilizrla. Lugar tranquilo y excelente para desconectarse.

Excelente estancia! Es un lugar relajante! Para desconectarte de todo. Vistas maravillosas y contacto con la naturaleza! Michael es muy claro con las indicaciones y la atención de Manny excepcional. Sin duda volvería! Importante tomar en cuenta preferentemente llegar en un 4x4 y con todo lo necesario para tu estancia.

Our family of 4 spent a magical 10 days at Michael's beautiful home. The location is very remote but felt very safe, which was exactly what we were looking for. We bought groceries in San Jose del Cabo to have for our stay since the house is located about an hour from town. There are a couple of restaurants in La Fortuna which is about 20 min drive. A highlight for us was having Olivia (one of the groundkeepers at the property) and her daughter come cook dinner for us 2 of the nights. They made us beef and chicken fajitas one night with an array of salsas, guacamole, and vegetables which were delicious. We were able to eat the leftovers for a couple of days. The second night she cooked for us we requested shrimp tacos and Chile rellenos. Her homemade tortillas were amazing. She will even do the grocery shopping in town for you if you give her enough time to prepare. We HIGHLY recommend you utilize her cooking skills if you stay at this wonderful, peaceful part of Baja! It's heavenly!

We just spent a week on the East Cape and had an amazing time! The house was perfect for our family and friends. Private, beautiful views, super clean and safe, perfectly appointed kitchens, fantastic common areas. Well stocked amenities for trips to the beach (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc). Super suportive crew to welcome you in and get you settled. Highly recommend. We will definitely stay at Michael's place on our next trip to the East Cape!

Michael's place is a true hidden gem on the East Cape. We enjoyed 5 gorgeous days there in late May. While the photos of the place are excellent, they don't do this beautiful place justice. While standing there, looking around, you can see the thoughtful care and attention to detail that Michael has put into creating this special oasis of comfort. Everything was perfect. While the house is in a gated community, from the wide patios and large windows, you cannot see any other homes. You can really only see (and hear) the ocean, the desert, the mountains, the sunrise, the sunset, and the stars. Sooooooo many stars. The beach is a short 5 minute stroll down an empty road. And if you are looking for surf, Punta Perfecta is another 5 minutes more. But PP is a pretty advanced break with powerful waves and rocks, so proceed with caution. Nine Palms is a much friendlier surf spot with board rentals and mellower waves, just a 5-10 minute drive south. The best place. Book it and go!

A place to get away from the city and be surrounded by quiet & the open space of the Baja landscape. Just what I was looking for. A long remote dirt road, no city lights, just stars & the sound of ocean waves in the distance. They have done a great job building this solar powered off the grid home. The water was out my first day, & they were very proactive getting it back on as quickly as possible. If you are a city person, this is not for you. But if you need to be out in nature & quiet spaces this is an amazing spot! Very beautiful design with the hot tub & rooftop infinity pool! Beautiful views. Felt safe and well supported by the friendly helpful staff!

Absolutely incredible place Michael has with tons to do nearby. Only a one minute drive down to the water where you can snorkel and see tons of fish or use the paddle boards he has available. Fantastic staff as well. Couldn’t recommend staying at an Airbnb more than this one.

Serene place to visit. I wish I stayed longer but will be back. Superb communication around booking, check in and during stay and excellent accommodations, low key lovely amenities and nice vibe. Great bed, linens towels etc. If you want to be in nature at the beach it’s great. Wildlife, stars, waves, incredible sunrises. It was a total whale show right now. Hot water was hit or miss but its solar so likely earlier in day or spread out with others the better. Loved it.

Great place, beautiful setting, would have been spectacular except for the bees which made the hot tub and pool unusable.

The house was awesome. it is very remote with a challenging road to get there but, oh so worth it! It is whale season so we could see them spouting and raising flippers and/ or tales. The host was friendly and helpful. We may return someday!

Absolutely beautiful home. We felt lucky to be able to stay here. Had a beach day on the beautiful white sand and had the beach to ourselves all day. An incredible stay I can’t say enough good things!

This place is really an oasis, its located in a beautiful place where the lanscape gets you breathless, the amenities make your stay simply amazing, the hot tub, the firepit, the grill it really has everything you might need. The best place to relax and disconnect, its really private and you can really rest because you only hear the sound of the see, we got the chance to see whales from the terrace. I would 100% recommend, michael is awesome and always available in case you need anything, just amazing.

We watched humpback whales from our bedroom on Christmas day! A wonderful and private experience in one of the most beautiful homes we have ever experienced. Off-grid home with complete self sustainability with luxury! An amazing and wonderful experience; a memory that will be cherished for a lifetime!

Fueron días muy mágicos en este lugar. Realmente, la casa es muy hermosa y las amenidades permiten disfrutar al máximo del entorno: sus vistas, los atardeceres, y las ballenas que pasan continuamente frente a la propiedad. Nos toco la fortuna de que Mike y su mujer (hosts) que son personas maravillosas; nos recibieran y nos hiceran sentir como en casa. Además, el casero Juan es muy amable y atento a todos los detalles. Puedes sentirte tranquilo, ya que estará pendiente de cualquier situación para ayudarte con excelente disposición. Recomendamos totalmente este hospedaje si buscas tranquilidad y disfrutar de tus días en Baja. Para recorrer las playas cercanas y aprovechar tu experiencia al 100, recomendamos rentar una 4x4. Nosotros íbamos a bucear todos los días, por lo que también disfrutamos mucho del camino en nuestra camioneta. Tips: Tacos & beer cabo pulmo, comprar super previamente.

Michael's place is beautiful, on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. Very private property, with few neighbours, and Michael and his onsite staff Juan & Manny were all responsive and incredibly helpful. This is the perfect getaway for someone who likes to explore on their own (with a rental car), and is looking for a quiet, private space to retreat to after busy days diving, swimming, spending time at the beach, etc. The house was spotless and we loved our stay. We'd return in a heartbeat!
